As a Staff Product Designer, I worked on the design systems team with the goal to evolve Twitter’s visual language across consumer-facing parts of the app. Areas of focus were illustration, typography, motion design, graphics for global events and a redesigned emoji set.

I pitched a story to Travel+Leisure about hotels that cater to dogs. I was aware of Catherine Ledner's ongoing project photographing dogs and contacted her about shooting the story. We brainstormed a few scenarios (dogs by the pool, dogs on the bed, dogs taking a bubble bath) and of course they had to look like divas. We got what we asked for and so much more. Shot on location at L.A.'s pooch-friendly Sunset Tower Hotel. Plus, behind the scenes video footage.

T+L Decoder was a section that served as a quick-guide to a city. In the flow of the magazine it lived in the back of the book so it was deliberately packaged the same way each month with a bold graphic type treatment so the reader knew exactly what it was when they got to it. It won an SPD merit in 2012 for Design of a Section.

"News. Finds. Opinions. Obsessions." These were the ideas behind “Radar," a front-of-book section in Travel+Leisure. Each month it provided a mix of the latest in travel destinations, hotels, shopping and dining, delivered with a dry wit by its editors. The fun part was always finding the perfect opener subject to deliver on the idea that (in our opinion), this is the coolest place/person/hotel on the planet right now. Here, a few of my favorites.
