Sandra Garcia is an award-winning editorial creative director and designer. She is currently an art director at Netflix Tudum. She was formerly the Editorial Interactives Director at The New Yorker, where she designed and art directed digital-first storytelling experiences.
From 2016-2018, Sandra was the Creative Director of HuffPost Highline, the site’s digital magazine of long-form investigative journalism. During her tenure there, Highline earned a series of design awards from SPD, ASME, Awwwards and The Webby Awards. She has also worked as a Staff Product Designer at Twitter (now “X”) from 2018-2020.
Sandra started her design career in print publications. She was the Design Director at Travel+Leisure magazine from 2011 to 2014, where she oversaw a major redesign of the print publication with Pentagram.
Sandra holds a B.A. in English Literature from The University of Connecticut and a degree in Graphic Design from Parsons The New School for Design. Before pursuing a secondary degree in design at Parsons, she worked as a writer and editor covering the creative side of the advertising industry.
